About Us
Founded in 2008, WiSER (Women in Science, Engineering & Research) is a sub-community of University of Alberta’s WISEST aiming at serving the needs of graduate students and early-career professionals. The community is comprised of individuals in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics from the academia, government, and industry.

Our Mandate
We support the retention and advancement of women and under-represented groups in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).

What We Offer
We offer opportunities throughout the year for networking, mentoring, information exchange, and professional development. We welcome everyone to participate in our events and programs.

Composition
Our members are from the academia, industry, and government in STEM fields and at any stage of their careers. All WiSER’s activities are overseen by the WiSER Executive Committee.
